The fashion industry is currently undergoing a major transformation.
What new challenges are we facing? How is spending and consumer behavior changing? How can we meet the demands of a more sustainable future?
We need to rethink. For us, taking action is not only important, but inevitable. How can we offer our customer a product that is not just for consumption? OBJEKT was founded to face these challenges and questions. We want to create clothing that evolves with you and your style, remains changeable and is produced as sustainably as possible under ethical conditions.
The adaptability of the pieces allows an easy transition from day to evening wear in a single garment (such as our 24 button shirt or the double tank top). Our generation wants a wardrobe that is as versatile and adaptable as they need to be. A wardrobe that is made to last.
To reduce overproduction we offer a selected range of pieces and quantities, and employ high quality deadstock fabrics sourced in Italy.
Our production takes place in a small, family-run factory in Hungary that we know personally, as well as in our small in-house Atelier.
SUSTAINABILITY AT OBJEKT
DEADSTOCK
WHAT IS DEADSTOCK FABRIC
Deadstock fabric consists of unused textile remnants from previous fashion productions. It serves as a sustainable option by reducing waste, conserving resources, and lowering carbon footprints. Designers can create unique pieces, promoting individuality while minimizing the environmental impact associated with producing new materials, thus supporting a more circular economy in fashion.
DEADSTOCK AT OBJEKT
OBJEKT is committed to the principle that sustainable design does not compromise quality. Each new collection is crafted from meticulously selected deadstock fabrics sourced personally from luxury houses in Florence. Embracing the value of individuality, OBJEKT appreciates the slight variations and inherent unpredictability of deadstock fabric, as these characteristics enrich the design process and celebrate uniqueness in every piece.
PRODUCTION
Our commitment to ethical production is at the heart of what we do at OBJEKT. By using a small production house in Budapest, Hungary, ethical fashion takes center stage through a commitment to sustainable practices and fair labor. Each garment is crafted with care by skilled artisans who are paid fair wages and work in safe conditions, fostering a supportive community.
By minimizing waste through efficient production methods, this small house not only reduces its environmental impact but also strengthens the local economy. As a brand, OBJEKT values transparency with its consumers by sharing its production processes and the stories behind each piece, encouraging a deeper connection between the maker and the wearer.
This approach champions a more responsible and conscious fashion industry, where quality and ethics go hand in hand.
